The first Indonesian horror story is The Sweet Ancol Bridge. For those of you who grew up in the 1990s, it's no stranger to hearing the story of a young woman who was found dead in the Ancol area. This legend from the people of Jakarta has even been made into films several times ago and made into several series that aired on television.

There are two versions of the story that developed regarding the emergence of Si Manis Jembatan Ancol. The first version tells of a girl named Maryam who lives with her mother in the house of a rich merchant.

The merchant fell in love with her beauty and sweetness, but Maryam refused and ran away. Maryam's escape was in vain, because she met thugs who raped and killed her, then her body was dumped near the Ancol area.

The second version tells of a girl named Ariah, whose destiny is not much different from Maryam who is about to be married by a wealthy businessman named Oey Tambahsia. Ariah ran away, but she was caught by Oey Tambahsia's thugs.

Even though she had put up a fight, she was unable to fight back because her strength was not up to par. Finally, Ariah died at the hands of the thugs and her body was dumped near the rice fields close to Ancol.

Until now, several people claim to have seen the figure of Maryam or Ariah appearing on the Ancol Bridge. He is depicted as having long hair and his presence is believed to be related to a number of accidents in the area.

Mbah Broto, a painter in the Ancol area, experienced scary stories related to the presence of Maryam. He admits that the figure of Maryam came to him who asked to be painted, but before he finished painting the figure disappeared.

Mbah Broto chased and found her, but what he saw was the woman's body as if flying from a distance.

2: Market Ghost Of Gunung Lawu

Mountain climbing is a fun activity, but what happens if it becomes a scary story. Mount Lawu is a mountain located in the border area between Karanganyar (Central Java) and Magetan (East Java) which is widely used as a climbing object.

However, Mount Lawu is not an ordinary mountain because many climbers have encountered mystical events there. A number of mystical events are often encountered, such as the presence of a market on the slopes of a mountain. It's quite strange because there are rarely markets in mountainous areas.

But the market in question is the ghost market, which is located at post 5 climbing through Cetho Temple. Local people believe that if anyone passes through the ghost market and hears the voice of a trader asking "what do you want to buy?", climbers must answer that question.

If something is offered, it must be rejected and taken as something that is around like a stone. After that, the climber must also throw money toward the source of the sound, if not then bad luck will befall him while on Mount Lawu. Some climbers who violate this taboo are reported to have lost their way until they have been kidnapped into another dimension.

Another Indonesian Horror Story comes from the island of Borneo named Kuyang. The figure is like a human during the day and mingles with society, but at night he transforms into a scary ghost.

She is able to detach her head from her body. Not only that, the head can fly along with members of the internal organs such as the heart, liver, and intestines. As it flew, a red light resembling fire appeared following it from behind.

She has two fangs on the right and left of her mouth. Kuyang is believed to be a ghost who likes to drink the blood of a mother who is pregnant or has just given birth, as well as the blood of a newborn. So that his victims don't get suspicious, Kuyang is usually able to transform herself into a cat or into a bird.

Ghost Pet

This is my experience while driving a night taxi part-time very gripping....Ok, this is my real story. Do you remember the account of the Onreat Road episode?? I used to be a part-time night taxi driver... you know, at that time my kids were still young, and their needs were my priority.. whether I wanted to or not, I had to do it for the needs of my beloved wife and children ..actually, I don't want to say that I'm a scaddy cat person...The story is like this.

At that time the clock was showing almost 2.30 in the morning... I was still roaming to collect my salary... after the rental money and fuel Alhamdulillah had already been collected. I was also determined, God willing, I might get decent sustenance ahead.

By the roadside, husband and wife stopped my taxi and it seemed that the husband is holding what looked like an iron container covered with yellow or red cloth.....sorry I don't really remember the color due to the beautiful cold morning clouding my vision...I stopped...then both husband and wife got into my taxi. politely I said YES SIR WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO??? I asked the couple.
BANG ARE YOU OK TO FETCH US TO PASIR PARK AND BACK AGAIN HERE???..in my heart I thank God you heard my request to make my sustenance easier.

To be honest, I don't care what he is holding in the container covered with the yellow/red cloth... on the way from AMK TO PASIR RIS, DAMN IT'S A BIT FAR TOO EH... but I'm thinking about the midnight charges I earn. Suddenly the husband asked me. Are you not scared to drive a taxi at this hour.??? I'm afraid I told him...but I'm more afraid of Allah SWT..it's a lie if I say I'm not afraid.
He also quickly said do you want to see a real ghost???... I feel like this person wants to scare me. It's true, spooky night podcast readers, I felt like there was a figure sitting on my left passenger side..and my hair stand on the end, and a chill run down my spine.

I also noticed that his wife was silent during the whole trip. With a strange feeling... I want to stop. I started reciting the verses that I memorized.. the most important thing... the example of the Ayatul Kursi verse.. . Maybe with the verses that I read in my heart. I felt...the figure next to me pulled away and ran away back into the container or go back to the owner. To be honest I'm nervous I feel the vibes and the atmosphere in my taxi is very strong. Alhamdulillah after the couple came back from releasing CASPER into the sea@Pasir Ris Park.

They returned to my taxi and headed back to AMK on the way, the husband kept quiet..alhamdulillah when they arrived at AMK they handed over fares along with midnight charges TIPS  are quite good and believe that sustenance is in the hands of God, we should never complain with what is given to us, continue our pure intentions and must be motivated to get the sustenance that is halal toyiban for our wives and children. And I end my shift for the night and thank God Alhamdulillah thanks to the almighty God who has protected me during the intense and scariest moment in my life.
