This is a real-life experienced I have back in those days as a relief taxi driver on the night shift. Onraet Road is one of the creepiest roads for the taxi driver to pass thru Thompson Road, especially at night. Hope you listeners enjoy the story that I share in my podcast Onraet Road.

Sandwiched on a small plot of land off the Whitley Road stretch of the Pan Island

Expressway (PIE), between the old Police Academy and the now infamous Whitley

Detention Centre is on a little-known road, Onraet Road. The road as well as its the name has an origin from spooky and creepy tales that has much to do with the Police Academy itself.

 

I was in my early 30 when I passed my taxi driving license. I decided to do it as a part-time

taxi driver night shift just to earn extra for my family. I have heard about Onraet Road even

before I became a part-time relief taxi driver. We as taxi drivers always have our group to

meet up and chat sometime listening to real life most disturbing horror short stories.

After a long hour on the road.

 

One day I pickup up a gentleman from FarEast Plaza at Scott Road to Bishan at Thomson
Road, it was almost 3.00 am. Quite a nice young chap very humble and jovial.
I asked him in a polite manner where he is going. He told me he just finish work
and need to reach home fast if possible indeed I also wanted to end my shift
fast on that day. So my fastest and shortest route will be Mount Pleasant and
thru Onraet Road.

We chat in the taxi while I listen and also attentive while at the wheel. He kind of a talkative guy.

When I reach a bend in Onreat Road I’m puzzled with a big question mark on my mind.

Why this guy suddenly zipped his mouth in dead silence? I sense something is not

right with him. But I just ignored that, once after I’m about to turn from Onreat Road to Thomson

Road I asked him hey why are you just suddenly very silent? Do you know what he answers me back?

I JUST SAW A LADY IN WHITE WITH LONGHAIR UNDER THE BIG TREE NEAR THE BEND waving at my taxi to share a ride with him to Bishan I think.

After reaching his drop-off point I quickly drive back home and ends my shift for the day. It was

the most horrific short story in my life as a part-time taxi driver. Guys thank you if you have read

He is always welcome by his colleagues and peers. Mike always lends a helping hand to those who needed help even if he could not afford to help. No wonder everyone close to him loves his character.

One day, unfortunately, Mike received his order at almost 3 am when he needed to deliver the item to one of the spookiest places in Singapore. I believe local knows that very well and it is very well known for it ranked the 10 spookiest places in Singapore.

Mike did not bother about the mystical or scary places but what he bother is the weather that early morning was not good it was about to pour heavily.

Mike quickly picks the order and straight to his drop of point trying to avoid caught up in the morning rain. And as usual, before he moves off to his drop-off point Mike always calls the customer to check if they are home and ready for delivery.



Mike Mike called the customer.

Hi, grab food here I am about to deliver your food are you home now Mike asked.

Cust Customer answer.

Yes please, I am home you can deliver the food now.


Mike reaches his destination for drop off at the carpark Mike grab the item and straight to deliver to the unit given as in the printed slip. Mike knocks on the unit door. Surprisingly no one answer.

But Mike felt puzzled eh how come nobody is in I thought I called her and she replies to me she will be waiting for the delivery.



Without hesitation, Mike keeps on knocking on the door and this time he noticed the window louver is not tightly closed.



What happen next really makes you feel bone tingling, when Mike peep thru the window he freaked out to see a long-haired white lady with red eyes staring at him. Mike throws all the item on floor and run for his life. Mike really felt so frightened and shaking. This the worse day of his life he confesses he never ever been so frightening before. But this is really makes him believe that in this world is not only human but also the super natural and mystical being are living together with us.
